For this week, I have a question about the New X-Men posts. Comments on the posts have been dwindling, down to basically nothing on the two most recent. That is not necessarily a bad thing, if people still like reading them, but having wrapped up the first year of New X-Men, this might be a good time to stop, or pause. One of the problems, I have discovered with the issue-by-issue thing, is that I have to repeat myself; I worry that is making the posts dull. You don't need to tell me you want me to keep going (as many of you already have, very kindly), but if you think it is time for a change, speak up now.

I am sorry it is taking so long with the videoblogging, but I have not forgotten it; they just discontinued the iCamera and I got busy.

I can not stop watching this. There are only three episodes so far. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZmH9aqltE8&mode=related&search=

Same here, Geoff. I'm in the middle of Bendis' Daredevil, Busiek's Astro City and starting Bendis' Powers next. I've been reading all the posts so far and gearing up to dive in.

Geoff, I think you should keep going on the NXM posts. I too have noticed that there have been fewer comments. Myself, I found I didn't really have anything to say about the last few issues, possibly because I don't remember them especially well. I had meant to try to read along with you as you wrote these posts, but I had enough other stuff to read that I never got around to it. I might still try to catch up (although I'll need to buy some of the trades, as I don't own the whole series yet) so I can try to add to the discussion.

Also:

Blog plug: I just wrote a review of a good book/comic called The Invention of Hugo Cabret, so check it out if you want.

Also, I mentioned this in last week's thread, but it was a couple days after the last comment, so I don't know if anybody read it: I also did a sort of anniversary post where I reviewed An Anthology of Graphic Fiction, which is pretty good. So check that out too.

i'm a lurker and i just want to add that you should keep up the NXM posts...i'm rereading the run, Omnibus-style and although i love it for the most part, i definitely see the weak points (Xorneto, etc.) and i'm enjoying hearing the various POVs on where people thought Morrison failed or succeeded

I'd like to comment on the Morrison X-Men, but I disliked it. A lot. Heck, I used to think I hated it. Then Civil War taught me what real hate was...

Anyway, everything about the run just annoyed me. Which was odd, since Morrison's run on JLA is one of my favorites...

I like your NXM posts and would love to see them continue. Imperial is the last storyline I followed in floppies until Here Comes Tomorrow. Everything in between I read in trade at a much later date (I only just read Planet X!) though I flipped through them in the comic store and followed what was happening on usenet. I'd be interested to see what you have to say about these issues, which didn't manage to attract me on first publication.

I'd also like to hear what you think of your Gitcorp X-Men DVD-ROM? I got the Spider-man one for Christmas, but have been entirely too busy with baby to sit down and read on my computer. I'm stunned that the internet isn't full of people talking about these amazing resources!

Everyone: sorry I have been out of touch, I have been very busy. I will keep up the New X-Men posts, but might occasionally do only one a week, if I have something else to say. I am working on a new feature maybe.

David: yeah, the more I think about it the more absurd I think this is. People should buy these before Marvel figures out they can charge a lot more for them. 485 comics for 44 dollars, it is just insane.

please keep posting the new x-men comments

can't figure out how to post other than as anonymous, but I was introduced to your work by CGS and enjoy the crap out of it. I swear to God that I actually went out and bought, and read, the DC One Million trade because of your comments. So, even though I'm anonymous, please keep posting the new x-men comments. Thank you.

I’ve never posted here before. I herd that you were doing this from the Comics geek speak podcast. I’ve been enjoying this greatly. If you feel the task of reviewing each issue is going to be too time consuming I recommend just hitting on all the different storylines.

Thanks for the enjoyable read.
