Free Form Comments

Say whatever you want to in the comments to this post -- random, off topic thoughts, ideas, suggestions, questions, recommendations, criticisms (which can be anonymous), surveys, introductions if you have never commented before, personal news, self-promotion, requests to be added to the blog roll and so on. If I forget, remind me. Remember these comments can be directed at all the readers, not just me.

ALSO. You can use this space to re-ask me questions you asked me before that I failed to answer because I was too busy.

AND you can use this space to comment on posts that are old enough that no one is reading the comments threads anymore.

You do not have to have a blogger account or gmail account to post a comment -- you can write a comment, write your name at the bottom of your comment like an e mail, and then post using the "anonymous" option.

WRITING FOR THIS BLOG. If I see a big free form comment that deserves more attention, I will pull it and make it its own post, with a label on the post and on the sidebar that will always link to all the posts you write for this blog. I am always looking for reviews of games, tv, movies, music, books and iPhone apps.

The interviewer's not so hot ("when did you stop sucking?"), but here's a podcast interview with Remarkable favourite Chris Bachalo. Seems like a good dude. Did you know it's BaCHAlo? I've always said BACKalo.

Bluh, I did a big comment about Thor but I don't know if it got swallowed or is just waiting for approval...? (Feel free to delete this if it's the latter)

Is anyone still reading either Ellis' Astonishing X-Men or Fraction's Uncanny? I dropped the former after two issues and the latter around the time when Marvel bumped the price up by a dollar for no obvious reason.

Yeah, I'm reading them. I quite enjoy them. It isn't Ellis' strongest work, but it scratches my technobabble X-men itch and I think Fraction's X-men is pretty enjoyable pop-comics. And his parody of Warren Ellis in Dr. Nemesis is pretty funny.

And so you know, Uncanny is back down to $2.99. They only bumped it up for the Utopia crossover.

Come what may: I threw down a challenge to give me seven favorite characters and I would make a story that sings. I was given Sin City's Marv, the Question, Aurora & Sasquatch (Alpha Flight), Suprema, Solar Man of the Atom and Starfire (Teen Titans). Strange mix of story beats, no? I thought up a story arc, then wrote the first "issue" for his birthday...and it's here: http://integr8dfix.blogspot.com/2009/10/basin-city-blues-noirscience-fiction.html

He loved it as great fun; will you?
