Is the cartoon out on DVD yet? I remember that being very cool.

How far in the run do you plan to go? I took out the trades from the library, and I thought it was interesting how a little ways in Sam Kieth drops a lot of the superhero stuff and by the end, drops it entirely. But I imagine that being one of the image folks in the ninties, he was the first introduction to not-big two style stories to quite a lot of folks.

Scott: the cartoon was great. It was very much an early version of the "motion comics" DC is trying to sell us now -- every panel every line, limited movement. It was AWESOME. I do not know if it is on DVD.

HCD: I plan to go as far as I can, but I will drop it if it gets boring. You never know with these things. There are 35 issues but I know 20 is a great stopping point since that wraps up the main Julie-Maxx story. 21-35 is sort of The Maxx 2 with different caracters and a sappy ending for everyone. We will have to see.

He was my intro to non DC Marvel.
