WRITING FOR THIS BLOG. If I see a big free form comment that deserves more attention, I will pull it and make it its own post, with a label on the post and on the sidebar that will always link to all the posts you write for this blog. I am always looking for reviews of games, tv, movies, music and books.

little something I noticed watching Conan O'Brian's debut on the tonight show:
His opening skit has him running from NY to LA while Cheap Trick's Surrender plays. Fan's of Conan's 12:30 late night show have been worried that Conan's move will mean he'll have to dum down his comedy and eliminate his quirks for the masses. The refrain of Surrender is like a request from his fans
"Surrender, surrender, but don't give yourself away"
Anyone have any idea why no creator/writer/director in Hollywood is able to do anything with the Terminator franchise that isn't utterly awful, unless said creator/writer/director is James Cameron?
Batman and Robin is a beautiful creature from some perfect dimension
I had to buy more comics than just Batman and Robin at Hanleys to meet the credit card minimum, so I got Final Crisis 5, 6, and 7.
Too much insanity, too many characters, nothing else, except for Morrison's usual knack for naming things.
Am I missing something?
If any of you are headed to MOCCA, you might want to check out Sabin Calvert's offerings at Table 518. I have a story in Pile Driver, an anthology of wrestling comics he put together.
Jake: Batman and Robin is a good comic book from a good dimension. I was not blown away as I wanted to be by it -- not like ALL STAR SUPERMAN 1. The last two pages scared the SHIT out of the though.
ToU: Final Crisis was a hugely mixed bag. I kind of liked the insanity of the last issue, -- the insanity of the random information about Aquaman returning to the DCU at the moment Darkseid dies -- but once Jones was off, it just no longer felt like a big deal to me.
See, I think B&R #1 was better than the first ish of All-Star Supes. A lot closer to the first ish of New X-Men. Maybe that's just 'cause they're both "new status!" issues, but I feel the same excitement. I mean, I loved all three series' first issues, though. It's just nice to see Quitely draw Morrison comics. All of a sudden, all the characters look and sound twice as smart as they did without Quitely to "sell" the lines.
Geoff: How was Fraction's Uncanny trade? Loverlorn, right?
