Free Form Comments

Say whatever you want to in the comments to this post -- random, off topic thoughts, ideas, suggestions, questions, recommendations, criticisms (which can be anonymous), surveys, introductions if you have never commented before, personal news, self-promotion, requests to be added to the blog roll and so on. If I forget, remind me. Remember these comments can be directed at all the readers, not just me.

ALSO. You can use this space to re-ask me questions you asked me before that I failed to answer because I was too busy.

AND you can use this space to comment on posts that are old enough that no one is reading the comments threads anymore.

You do not have to have a blogger account or gmail account to post a comment -- you can write a comment, write your name at the bottom of your comment like an e mail, and then post using the "anonymous" option.

WRITING FOR THIS BLOG. If I see a big free form comment that deserves more attention, I will pull it and make it its own post, with a label on the post and on the sidebar that will always link to all the posts you write for this blog. I am always looking for reviews of games, tv, movies, music and books.

Just a quick thanks to Mikey and James for the London thing last week. I went and got some comics, I did.

Hey guys, I just want to grab your mouse and head and physically force you to stare at my blog.

Challengers of the Unexpected

My blogmates fancy themselves comic book intellectuals. I just talk about stuff like my new X-Men t-shirt.

I'm really hoping 'Mysterio' will be revealed tonight. I'm willing to bet Parker and Stone listened to cries from fans who were upset over the end of the last South Park episode and will reveal the hero's true identity in a very subtle way (like which student isn't in the classroom because he's in jail).

Also, 'The Day the Earth Stood Still' vs. 'Knowing'...who sucks less?

The answer is 'The Day the Earth Stood Still' but I'mm in the process of reviewing 'Knowing' and will reveal why, despite what Rottentomatoes thinks.

Also...what if Zack Snyder made Wall-E:

I'm doing a four month long project on The Day The Earth Stood Still (original and the remake) and how it fits into the two political climates.

I can't believe I have to analyse a movie where the robot is the best actor.

The robot or Reeves? I think Reeves did a decent job in this one, but the problem is this: is he REALLY acting? Or is he really just that creepy? It's borderline cheating. It's like when Paris Hilton plays a stupid whore. It's not really fair.

I was going to point out that perhaps 'stupid whore' was a tad... well, 'strong' but can anyone think of a way of describing Paris Hilton that doesn't involve some variation of the words "Stupid" and "Whore"?

By the way, the Wall*E/Watchmen mash up Fins posted above is hysterical... check it out.

"terrorists' bulletin board material"

(that is a sports reference if no one gets it...in lockerrooms the coach puts up material on the bulletin board to help motivate the team before a game)

S...ports?

In all seriousness though, I am in 57th place in the NCAA tourney bracket pool I entered. That midwest section has been brutal for everyone though.

One of my favoured writers of the funnybooks Steven 'Badlands' Grant weighs in on the BSG finale, I think some people here will get a kick out of his comments:
