Free Form Comments

Say whatever you want to in the comments to this post -- random, off topic thoughts, ideas, suggestions, questions, recommendations, criticisms (which can be anonymous), surveys, introductions if you have never commented before, personal news, self-promotion, requests to be added to the blog roll and so on. If I forget, remind me. Remember these comments can be directed at all the readers, not just me.

ALSO. You can use this space to re-ask me questions you asked me before that I failed to answer because I was too busy.

AND you can use this space to comment on posts that are old enough that no one is reading the comments threads anymore.

You do not have to have a blogger account or gmail account to post a comment -- you can write a comment, write your name at the bottom of your comment like an e mail, and then post using the "anonymous" option.

WRITING FOR THIS BLOG. If I see a big free form comment that deserves more attention, I will pull it and make it its own post, with a label on the post and on the sidebar that will always link to all the posts you write for this blog. I am always looking for reviews of games, tv, movies, music and books.

After seeing 'Quantum of Solace,' it's obvious that Michael Bay-itis is starting to influence other directors. Marc Forster may just be the first of many...

Please elaborate if you will... sounds like someone should do a full review for the Blog...

An existential crisis: last night’s penultimate episode of THE SHIELD was very strong and I’m still thinking about it. Do I want to sully this warm glow by watching the new episode of Heroes? (which is just like watching a car crash at this point and yet I feel that I should at least finish out the ‘Villains’ arc.)

You're a braver man than I am, Gordon. I only got about half-way through the FIRST season of Heroes.

Glad to hear about the strength of the penultimate episode of The Shield, though (which, alas, I won't get to until the season comes out on DVD - surfthechannel is too damn buggy for me these days.)

Shameless self promotion!

I've been posting frequently, and I'm doing an issue-by-issue look at Aztek the Ultimate Man. Plus, Gene Ha commented! That makes my blogging feel validated.

Mario. That is a tough one. Probably Spartan. I know The Edge is often maligned but I LOVE that movie.

UM -- Gene Ha! Awesome.

I will when I have proper internet. I'm at my mom's right now on Solomon's Island and she doesn't have internet (she's poor) so I have to steal someone else's connection which cuts out every five minutes. It's basically all style, not substance, the shallowest James Bond ever made (with that said, don't interpret this as 'bad,' because it's not at all, it just could've been great with some meat on its bones and dialogue that wasn't so blatantly put cliche).

It always seemed to me that the Bond movies were the leaders of the style over substance brigade. They seem to be at the forefront of the bigger, better action movie every decade. I didn't realize this was the case until I revisited some of my childhood Bond favorites only to see them filled with flipping cars and jumping speedboats.

Ultimate Matt: That's great! I'm going to give your blog a read through. Aztek was always my favorite little superhero-that-could - but never did.
